After Removing 3 Rows Of Tiles We Then Reveal The Rotten Felt And Battens, We Then Discover That The Wallplate Is Also Rotten, We Then Detatch All The Rafters From The Wallplate, Cut Out The Old Wallplate In Sections,
Once Removed We Can Then Fit An 8x2 Treated Wallplate, Refelt Using Breathable Felt And 2x1 Treated Battens, On This Old Cottage We Fitted Black Swish Replacement Fascia Boards And Black Niagra Gutters.
Because There Are No Soffits There Is No Overhang, And Because The Felt Was Rotten, The Wallplate Takes A Soaking Which After Many Years Goes Rotten.
